Forest Art inspired by Claire West

In grades 2-5, the students have been discussing the artist Claire West from Great Britain. She is a painter who uses bright colors and basic shapes to create beautiful landscapes. One of the things I really like about her art is that it is not photo realistic. It is very illustrative, so the kids who aren't comfortable drawing can see that even if your drawing doesn't look like a photograph, it still can be awesome! Here is a start to our forest scenes!
