This week, the 2nd graders are finishing up their dot paintings that were inspired by the artist, Seurat! The kids not only learned how to draw a basic sunflower, but they learned how to mix colors by stirring paint and by using 2 overlapping colors (tempera paint) to create a new color. They used q-tips to create their dots. Here are just a few samples...
